Classic car meet

Rotary classic car meet in Buckingham

Buckingham Rotary Club is organising its fifth classic car meet on Saturday, June 30th to raise funds for local and international charities.

The event is a social gathering for motoring enthusiasts displaying vehicles more than 20 years old and interesting younger vehicles – cars, motorbikes and any other vehicle type people may wish to bring.

Rally plaques will be presented to all entrants who register by 11th June. The car meet is held at The Richard Roper Playing Field, Lenborough Road, Gawcott, MK18 4JG. This year the event will be focused more towards motoring enthusiasts and organisers are inviting classic vehicle trade exhibitors and associated interests. The field will be open from 12 noon for the arrival of vehicles and the event starts at 1pm. A beer and Pimm’s tent, barbecue and other refreshments stalls will be on site.

The event secretary is David Jackson, who can be contacted via email: d.w.jackson@btinternet.com).

How to enter: Entry forms can be downloaded via the identified link on the website: www.buckinghamrotary.co.uk

Completed forms should be returned with a minimum entry fee of £8 to help raise funds for Buckingham Rotary’s local and international charities. Entrants wishing to park with friends should note accordingly on their entry form and Rotary will do its best to accommodate them. If people have to use a substitute vehicle they are asked to advise the event secretary at least five days before the event.  In the unlikely event of the cancellation of the event,  ticket donations are not refundable.

Info: Buckingham Rotary raises thousands of pounds each year for local charities, as well as supporting international initiatives. Members regularly meet socially and always welcome new members to join them in the service of the local community and wider world.
