Enjoy a relaxing Sunday of live jazz in the intimate setting of the Museum’s walled garden.

2 sittings – 2.30pm-4.30pm and 6pm-8pm

Come and join us for the sounds of the brilliant Swing Train 42 , a gypsy swing jazz band that covers classic Django tunes and jazz standards with the unlikely instrumentation of mandolin and guitar. Swing Train 42 will play 2 live music sets.

Light refreshments available to buy include:

– selection of drinks (beer/wine/cider/gin bar/Pimms)
– selection of snacks (nuts, olives, sweets, ice cream)
– plus catering from our carefully selected local partners No2 Pound Street, Wendover and Ruby’s Street Food.

There will be some seating but you are welcome to bring your own rug or folding seat too.

Please do not bring your own alcohol and food on to the premises.

In order to support the environment, we are moving towards the use of sustainable products.

Sorry, no children or pets.

Enjoy summer in the gardens and grounds of Hartwell House, and what better way than to join Richard Jones our Head Gardener who will take you on a guided tour to view the many plants, shrubs and trees in bloom.
We will commence with coffee on arrival at 11.00am prompt in the Library, followed by the tour and then a two-course lunch, a glass of wine and coffee, all for £31 per person.
A change of footwear may be advisable

The Pre-78 Rally
The Pre-78 Rally is just a single day event held at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, Quainton Bucks HP22 4BY once a year on the August Bank Holiday Monday. It is also open for visits and other events. Please visit the website below for opening times and closed season times.
The Pre-78 Rally was started in 1973 and is held on the August Bank Holiday Monday .It normally attracts up to 250 classic cars and motorcycles with scope for much more. There is a special train running on the day
Entry is £5.00 and you can turn up on the day
Dog Friendly- but must be kept on a fixed lead
