Branching out

Thame Mayor Adrian Dite has officially opened a new branch of independent builders’ merchant MKM, located in Lupton Road.

The outlet will mark MKM’s 123rd branch in the UK and has created 18 new jobs for the area.

MKM Thame Branch Directors Aaron Campbell and Jake Sherwin (pictured with the mayor) already have ties to the Thame community.

At the opening Mr Campbell and Mr Sherwin presented a cheque for £1,300 to the Red Kite Family Centre. In their first year in business they have pledged support to the mayor’s chosen charities, the family centre and Thame Shed.

MKM is open to both public and trade customers, with free local deliveries. Its showroom has an extensive range of bathrooms and kitchens on display.

Citizens Advice office relaunches
The Citizens Advice office in Market Square has undergone some rebranding and the mayor cut the ribbon at its relaunch event. Other councillors and staff who attended were shown around the premises and were able to see some of the impressive work volunteers put in for the community.
