Busking benefits

Busk for Mind

Buckinghamshire Mind has announced the return of live music event Busk for Bucks Mind. The date is on Friday 6th July, from 5.30pm until late, at Dukes, Aylesbury.

Busk for Bucks Mind is a benefit gig, sponsored by Esri UK, which aims to raise vital funds for Buckinghamshire Mind’s mental health services and raise awareness of mental health. This year the headline band is the popular El Bronson. The event will also feature a host of local musical talent, both acoustic and electric, including Nighjar, Harry Quinn, JP and Betty, Suzy B, Jim Marvin, The Recovered and Róisín Johnston. The whole event will be kicked-off with Bucks Mind’s own band, consisting of members of a therapeutic music group. The host for this year’s gig is the BBC’s Andy Holmes, who is a Time to Change Champion.

Kaya Mallinder, event organiser, Buckinghamshire Mind, said: ‘Busk for Bucks Mind was hugely successful in 2017, particularly in terms of raising awareness of mental health and Buckinghamshire Mind. We hope to build on that success this year by attracting an even bigger crowd with our exciting line-up. It looks set to be a great night. I’d like to say thank you to our sponsors, Esri UK, to Dukes for providing the venue free of charge, Andy Holmes for hosting the event, JP for designing the poster and Bluepepper for sponsoring the print of the posters and flyers.’
