The Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Photography Competition has been launched, with impressive prizes and categories for under and over 16s.
The theme is “what does the Chilterns mean to you?” and the image can be anything from a landscape to a building, community event or wildlife.
The prize categories are 1) Over 16 years old 2) 16 years and under. In each category there will be a first and second prize winner, plus runners up.
People can enter online at: www.chilternsaonb.org/photo-comp and the competition closes on 31st October.
All prizes have beendonated by local businesses including:
> A framed copy of the winning image courtesy of Pretty Like Pictures Framing Studio in Thame
> An exclusive 50-minute ride with the driver on a diesel engine offering a unique photo opportunity courtesy of Chiltern and Princes Risborough Railway
> Three-course Sunday Lunch for two at The Crown Sydenham.
> Tree top experience for four at Go Ape.
> Family ticket on the Chiltern & Princes Risborough Railway.
> Family veg box from local online organic grocery supplier Ten Mile Menu.
> Mama Dor’s Kitchen Spice Blend Gift Box worth £25.
Finalists will be selected by an in-house judging panel and the shortlisted photos will be displayed on an online poll where the public will be invited to vote for their favourite. The competition is intended to highlight the importance of getting out and about and to encourage participants to celebrate the beauty and enjoyment of the area.
