Have you ever wondered what it is like to sing in an opera chorus?
Join us for an introductory opera workshop in which we will explore Turiddu’s drinking scene from ‘Cavalleria Rusticana’. Saturday 19th October 2.30-5.30pm.
We will rehearse the music then set it dramatically. Led by professionals Kelvin Lim (Musical Director) and Louise Bakker (Stage Director), the afternoon will introduce newcomers to the creative process in a friendly and supportive environment.
Then in February 2020, Aylesbury Opera will be staging a full production of the classic double bill of Mascagni’s ‘Cavalleria Rusticana’ and Leoncavallo’s ‘I Pagliacci’. Both are full-blooded stories of passion and revenge, set in Sicily; both feature fantastic music and memorable set-pieces. We’d love you to join us in the audience or or as chorus members.
