Events get cash boost

Aylesbury residents are being encouraged to apply for funds through its Community Event Fund.

The funding, from the town council’s communities committee, aims to support a wide range of locally organised events.

These include including street parties, school fairs, cultural festivals or any other community event within the parish of Aylesbury, free for visitors to enjoy. These could be anything from a bouncy castle at a charity fundraiser, and face painter at a community street party to a ‘make and take’ craft at a school fair.

Funding is available in addition to the council’s grants programme, which distributes thousands of pounds per year to local groups, charities and young sportspeople.

The fund shows the council’s commitment to bringing communities together and supporting residents, community projects and events. It hopes the community makes the most of the funding to help create long-lasting memories for a wide range of residents.
