Hello, bonjour, namaste
Buckinghamshire Building Society is pulling out all the digital stops to make itself more accessible to everyone – including online translation of 100 languages.
Visitors to www.bucksbs.co.uk are now able to discover a wide range of accessibility and language support tools to customise their digital experience through latest technology.
In particular it aims to help more than 20% of the population who may encounter barriers when exploring a website due to having a disability, learning difficulty, visual impairment, or if they speak English as a second language.
The building society’s website includes screen reading function, multiple reading aids, tailored styling and an on-demand live translation feature, with more than 100 languages, including 35 text-to-speech options.
Gerard O’Keeffe, Chief Executive Officer at the building society, said: ‘By implementing this technology, we are ensuring all customers can access information and services in a way that best meets their individual needs.’
