Parklife music fest

Parklife Weekend is set to return this August Bank Holiday weekend in Aylesbury.

From 12 noon on Saturday 28 August, two stages in Vale Park will host local bands and artists at Live in the Park for nine-and-a-half hours of continuous music.

Bands and artists performing include Soul Enforcement Bureau, Tunehead, Rockin’ Wild, BlueJay, Armada of Secrets, Princes to Kings, Fret Heads, The White Lakes, Empyre, Saloni, Peerless Pirates and Amir.

Local band NBS will be entertaining the crowd as headliners with many cover tracks – from modern and classic rock, pop, pop punk, soul, to 80s cheese.

New to Live in the Park for 2021 is the Kids’ Entertainment Tent. There will be six hours of fun for families to enjoy. Events include balloon modelling competitions with DJ Dan Blaze; a princess singalong with MJ Productions; Professor Diamond’s Punch and Judy Show; plus an interactive Fairies v Dragons Gameshow with the Enchanted Players Theatre Company.

The Community Involvement Area also has plenty of stalls and refreshments and bars will be on hand.

The free event is organised by the town council and supported by a number of charities and organisations.
