Power shopping returns

Shop ’til you drop – and help charity at the same time.

That’s the message from WheelPower, which hosts its annual seasonal shopping evening at Stoke Mandeville Stadium.

The event on Thursday 25 November is in support of the national wheelchair sport charity.

After last year’s event was held online, the charity is welcoming back a variety of stallholders, and hosting a festive event that is always well supported by the local community. It takes place between 4.30-8.30pm, with free attendance and parking available at the stadium.

There will be more than 20 stalls, selling everything from handmade chocolate, to Christmas hampers, jewellery and festive craft products.

The Stoke Mandeville Combined School choir will be on hand to get everyone in the Christmas spirit and there will be mulled wine and homemade cakes, as well as a tombola.

Jo Hall, of WheelPower Events, said: ‘This has always been a really popular and enjoyable event for everyone involved with WheelPower and by supporting it you can be assured that every penny raised will go towards our vital work of helping disabled children and adults take part in sport and be more active.’
