Pupils' Paris date

A group of young performers from the Aylesbury area are putting the finishing touches to their Greatest Showman routine as they prepare to perform at Disneyland Paris as part of the resort’s summer entertainment programme.

After months of rehearsals, the pupils (pictured) from Aylesbury-based Spotlight Musical Theatre School will be entertaining visitors on the Videopolis stage from 12 noon on Monday 13th August.

This opportunity follows an exhaustive two-stage audition process, which started in June 2017 and ended in November when the team finally heard they had been selected to perform at Disneyland Paris – the most visited theme park in Europe.

The children will be performing a colourful and energetic 20-minute routine of songs taken from The Greatest Showman, including their own version of the popular song “This Is Me”.

Jessica Cox, Director of Spotlight, said: ‘I’m so proud of our Disney team who have all worked tirelessly to ensure we’re ready for our first ever international performance. Their commitment clearly shows how much this means to them.’

She added: ‘This is an incredible opportunity for our pupils, and I’m confident they’ll put on an amazing performance this summer when we represent Aylesbury in Disneyland Paris.’
