Trip back in time

Buckinghamshire History Festival returns on Wednesday 1 November for its eighth annual celebration.

The festival, co-ordinated by Buckinghamshire Archives, presents a large range of activities throughout November, bringing the county’s past to life and uncovering the often untold stories of people and places from across the years.

Buckinghamshire Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure Clive Harriss said: ‘There’s something for everyone, ranging from tours of the Buckinghamshire Archives, through theatrical performances, to traditional corn milling demonstrations – and there’s even a pub quiz where you can show off your historical knowledge.’
